Job summary

Randstad Care AS is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Adults Access Team in Redcar and Cleveland. You will lead triage, assess needs and potential risks, and coordinate with health and social care partners to deliver timely, person-centered support under statutory duties.

Successful candidates will have strong knowledge of Care Act 2014 and MCA 2005, excellent communication, and a commitment to safeguarding and independence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to strengths-based, person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Triage and evaluate new contacts and referrals entering Adult Social Care.
• Lead proportionate assessments to identify needs, risks and outcomes.
• Gather and analyse data from individuals, families, partners and health professionals.
• Identify safeguarding concerns, apply local threshold guidance, and advise on Section 42 where appropriate.
• Apply statutory legislation effectively to support service users.
• Provide information, guidance and signposting to promote independence.
• Collaborate with NHS, care providers and voluntary sector for coordinated responses.
• Maintain clear, accurate records and support daily duty functions.
