Job summary

Dassault Systèmes is hiring for a CTMS-focused software engineer in London. You will join Medidata’s CTMS team working on next-generation SaaS applications deployed on AWS, with a strong emphasis on React/TypeScript and cloud-native microservices.

The role requires collaborating with a global, distributed team in a hybrid office setting at the Hammersmith location. You will mentor peers, drive engineering best practices, and contribute to secure, scalable product delivery while leveraging

Qualifications

• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark).
• Proficient in React/TypeScript development.
• Experience in a microservice architecture and cloud-based web apps.
• Hands-on with AWS and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Github Actions and Terraform.
• Security concepts: authentication, authorization, auditing.
• Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial B2B/Enterprise SaaS offerings.

Responsibilities

• Propose solutions to complex business problems and translate them to technology.
• Provide accurate impact analysis, technical assessment and documentation.
• Define and advocate industry-standard engineering practices for the team.
• Collaborate with Engineering management and Architecture groups in delivering product.
• Troubleshoot production issues and propose workarounds and solutions.
• Mentor Senior & App Engineer level staff; engage in code reviews to improve quality and promote TDD/BDD.

Our Team:

You will work on Medidata's next generation of SaaS-based clinical trial management applications, deployed on AWS and you will play an important role in developing our new platform. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will join our Medidata Study Experience team focusing on our CTMS solution:

We follow a hybrid working model (3 days in office) and base location is Hammersmith, London.

What you will do:

• Propose solutions to complex business problems and translate them to technology.
• Provide accurate impact analysis, technical assessment and documentation.
• Define and advocate industry standard engineering practices for the team.
• Work closely with the Engineering management and Architecture groups in leading product delivery.
• Collaborate in troubleshooting the production issues and provide possible workarounds and solutions promptly.
• Mentor colleagues at Senior & App Engineer level; engage in code review to improve code quality and promote TDD/BDD approach.
• Collaborate with diverse and globally distributed team.

Who you are:

• Experience with a data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark.
• Passionate about software product development.
• Experience programming in React/TypeScript.
• Experience working in a microservice ecosystem and developing cloud-based web applications.
• Experience working with cloud technologies like AWS.
• Experience in DevOps technologies like Github actions, terraform or similar.
• Knowledge of basic security concepts, such as authentication, authorization, and auditing.
• Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience from on commercial B2B / Enterprise SaaS offerings.
