Job summary

Medidata in London (Hammersmith) is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance our next-generation CTMS SaaS platform. You will contribute to cloud-native web applications deployed on AWS, applying modern engineering practices in a team-first environment.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will design solutions, mentor colleagues, review code, and collaborate with Architecture to deliver scalable product features. The role is hybrid (3 days in office) in London.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with React/TypeScript and cloud-based web applications.
• Experience in a microservice ecosystem and AWS.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and auditing security concepts.
• Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark.
• Prior experience with B2B/Enterprise SaaS offerings.
• Mentor colleagues, engage in code reviews, and promote TDD/BDD.

• Provide accurate impact analysis, technical assessment and documentation.
• Define and advocate industry standard engineering practices for the team.
• Work closely with Engineering management and Architecture groups in leading product delivery.

• Mentor colleagues at Senior & App Engineer level; engage in code review to improve code quality and promote TDD/BDD.

You will work on Medidata's next generation of SaaS-based clinical trial management applications, deployed on AWS and you will play an important role in developing our new platform. Our philosophy here is that if you have a strong foundation in application engineering and a team-first mindset, we will invest in training you on our platform technologies. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will join our Medidata Study Experience team focusing on our CTMS solution: https://www.medidata.com/en/study-experience/ctms/ We follow a hybrid working model (3 days in office) and base location is Hammersmith, London. What you will do:

• Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
