Intellectual Capital Resources in Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced Frontend Software Engineer to design and enhance real-time, map-based interfaces. The role demands 3+ years in frontend dev, strong TS/JS with React, and experience with mapping platforms. This is an onsite position in Gloucestershire within a lean, fast-feedback team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of front-end software experience in data-rich environments.
• Experience building responsive, cross-platform interfaces and data visualisations.
• Familiarity with tactical mapping platforms (ATAK/CivTAK/WinTAK) and live asset tracking.
• Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React and modern CSS.
• Experience with Swift, Kotlin, or React Native.
• Ability to operate with a large degree of autonomy within a lean, competent team.

Responsibilities

• Architect and iterate real-time, map-based OS interfaces.
• Build dashboards and mission tools interacting with large datasets and hardware sensor data.
• Balance responsiveness with data richness across multiple data streams while ensuring a smooth UX.
• Work with fast feedback loops, including live demos, pilots, and short-cycle deployments.

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3+ years of front-end software experience, ideally in data-rich or remote-sensing environments
• Demonstrated experience building responsive, cross-platform interfaces and data visualisations
• Familiarity with tactical or operational mapping platforms (ATAK/CivTAK/WinTAK), including concepts such as mission overlays, live asset tracking, and offline-first workflows
• Fluency in TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React, and modern CSS frameworks
• Experience with Swift, Kotlin, or React Native
• Ability to operate with a large degree of autonomy within a lean and competent team
• The role is 100% onsite, so we need candidates who live within commutable distance
