Job summary

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Front-End Engineer specializing in Vue to drive high‑performance trading UIs. You will develop scalable web apps, contribute to a shared Vue UI library, and collaborate across teams to implement new technologies. The role fits a hands-on, delivery‑driven engineer with strong TS skills.

London-based, hybrid work model, central office at The Walkie Talkie, with daily lunch in‑office. 5+ years in SPA dev and experience with Vue3, TS, and modern tooling preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience with SPA focus.
• Strong experience with at least one major JS framework (Vue3 preferred, Angular/React also ok).
• Strong TypeScript skills for robust libraries and components.
• Solid HTML5/CSS3, responsive design and accessibility.
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Rollup), testing (Vitest, Playwright) and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and integrations in web apps is a plus.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design.
• Experience with real-time data (WebSockets/SSE) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications within the Vue.js ecosystem.
• Owning and building high-traffic applications focusing on speed and UX.
• Identify and implement improvements to architecture, performance and code quality.
• Collaborate with peers to plan and execute large-scale projects.
• Contribute to and maintain the Vue UI Component Library.
• Set direction and partner with frontend engineers on new tech adoption.
