Job summary

Dayshape is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Edinburgh-area engineering team. You will develop frontend features using JavaScript and Vue.js, ensure code quality with tests, and contribute to scalable, high-performance UI work.

You’ll collaborate with product and QA to deliver reliable features, participate in full lifecycle development, and help maintain a culture of learning and teamwork. Hybrid work within the UK is supported.

Qualifications

• Proficient JavaScript developer with experience in vanilla JS and Vue.js.
• Experience in agile product development teams.
• Comfortable writing unit and end-to-end tests.
• Strong focus on shipping a quality product.
• Able to raise issues constructively and collaborate.
• Familiar with software development best practices and learning pace.

Responsibilities

• Write complex frontend logic in JavaScript.
• Build and upgrade UI components using Vue.js.
• Write automated tests (unit and E2E).
• Enhance scalability, performance and maintainability with the team.
• Support learning, development and teamwork culture.
• Own features from idea to deployment and updates.
