Job summary

Xcede Recruitment Solutions in London is seeking a Front-End Developer to join a Financial Services programme, working on critical digital platforms for a major UK financial institution. Hybrid working in London with an initial 3–6 month contract and a market-rate day rate inside IR35.

You will build responsive, accessible interfaces using React or Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, integrate with REST APIs, and collaborate with UX, back-end teams and Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Front-End Development experience.
• Experience with React or Angular.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+).
• Solid HTML5 and CSS3 skills including responsive design.
• REST API integration experience.
• State management with Redux or NgRx.
• Experience with unit testing (Jest/Jasmine).
• GIT for version control.
• Strong WCAG accessibility knowledge.
• Experience with modern UI/component libraries.
• Experience in Agile teams.
• Azure Static Web Apps or similar Azure hosting.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible web interfaces.
• Build front-end apps using React or Angular.
• Work with TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Integrate front-end with back-end services via REST APIs.
• Implement state management with Redux/NgRx.
• Collaborate with UX designers to translate designs.
• Create reusable components using modern UI libraries.
• Write and maintain unit tests (Jest/Jasmine).
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and delivery.
• Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Use Git for version control.
• Support cloud-based web app development with Azure.
• Contribute to development standards and UX improvements.
