MCS Group is seeking a UI Engineer to join a growing technology company in a hybrid Belfast-based role. You will focus on building modern UI with React and TypeScript, contributing to a shared frontend framework and collaborating with Product and Engineering to deliver new features.

The role offers a clear path towards full-stack development, with emphasis on quality and scalable UI components, plus opportunities to expand backend exposure over time.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with React and TypeScript - ideally 3 years+
• Strong understanding of modern front-end development
• Experience writing unit tests
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A collaborative approach and eagerness to learn
• Interest in developing broader full-stack skills

Responsibilities

• Develop modern user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and shared design patterns.
• Help create a scalable front-end framework used across multiple products.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver new features.
• Improve user experience through thoughtful UI enhancements.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
• Contribute to automated testing using Playwright and support CI/CD improvements.
