Job summary

Queen Square Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to own features in an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and contribute to platform roadmaps. You will build reusable React components, integrate REST APIs, and participate in code reviews and testing using Jest/RTL and Playwright/Cypress.

You will also develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, apply secure DevSecOps practices, and support production/live services on Azure and/or GCP.

Qualifications

• Front-end expertise with React and modern tooling.
• Experience building reusable UI components and libraries.
• Familiarity with REST APIs integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive features within an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Build reusable frontend components and contribute to shared code libraries.
• Integrate RESTful APIs into frontend applications.
• Write unit tests using Jest / React Testing Library.
• Develop end-to-end automated testing using Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting application delivery.
• Apply secure development practices, including secrets management and CI/CD security.
• Build and deploy applications to Azure and/or GCP.
• Participate in code reviews, prototyping and technical documentation.
• Contribute to platform and product roadmaps and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on production/live service support, resolving incidents and implementing long-term fixes.
• Lead technical discussions with engineering teams, SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical upskilling across teams.
• Strong frontend engineering and reusable component development experience.
• Jest and React Testing Library experience.
• Automated functional/E2E testing using Playwright, Cypress and/or Selenium.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience deploying applications to Azure and/or GCP.
• Understanding of secure development and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting production/live applications.
• Backstage / Internal Developer Platform experience.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working with developer portals or developer experience platforms.
