Job summary

Montash is hiring a Frontend Developer (SC Cleared) for a remote role with occasional travel to London. You will own and improve a live frontend service within a legacy deployment environment, delivering in Agile sprints with a Programme Manager and Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong React and TypeScript proficiency with production experience.
• Familiarity with the GDS Design Kit and delivering to GDS service standards.
• Node.js experience for server-side and tooling development.
• Docker experience for containerised development and deployment workflows.
• Storybook for component development and documentation.
• Comfortable with legacy services and deployment models.
• Experience writing feature and API tests as part of an Agile sprint delivery.
• Strong communication skills to explain code to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with incident, change and problem management within DDaT frameworks.
• CI/CD pipeline experience and Git version control.
• Experience working in public sector or regulated delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the existing frontend service, owning the codebase.
• Manage and resolve tickets across incident, change and service request processes.
• Build deployment packages for production releases with controlled, documented processes.
• Write tests for features and APIs and update API documentation as needed.
• Conduct peer reviews and commit changes to the master branch after review.
• Identify opportunities for continuous service improvement across processes and technology.
• Demonstrate completed changes during sprint reviews with stakeholders.
• Interface with support services and contribute to investigations.
