Looking for a challenging role in the Hedge Fund industry? Robert Half is proud to present this role in the market!

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

We are seeking a TOP FRONT OFFICE Python Developer to join a high-performing multi-billion dollar Hedge Fund's Tech Team to manage risk levels.

The successful candidate will develop risk management processes, transition into the front office trading technology team, and have a strong background in quantitative finance, data analysis, econometrics/statistics, and programming in Python and other object-oriented languages.

The role involves supporting and developing applications for the business, including:

• Providing second and third level support for globally deployed applications.
• Contributing to the global Core Technology Development team.
• Collaborating with other Technology teams to deliver solutions.
• Migrating legacy software to future state applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Address application issues promptly.
• Serve as a local contact for the business for the Core Technology Team, capturing and prioritizing requests.
• Maintain and develop global business applications.
• Provide local support and escalate issues as needed.
• Document applications and procedures.
• Follow workflows and procedures to ensure consistent delivery.

Required Background and Knowledge

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a financial environment, preferably hedge fund, with front or middle office full-stack experience.
• Experience with third-party application integration (API, FTP, Message queue, etc.).
• Experience with electronic execution and FIX protocol.
• Experience with databases: SQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of MiFID II regulatory reporting, EMS, OMS, PMS solutions, Bloomberg, Reuters, and data analytics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.

Technologies

• Rapid Application Development (RAD).
• Database Administration.
• REST API.

Good to Have Languages

• Web: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Functional languages such as Scala, Clojure, Groovy, etc.
