Job summary

Nomura is seeking a data and analytics Strats professional in London to develop and productionize analytics alongside traders, sales and IT. The role sits in Front Office with close interaction across desks.

You will build robust tech solutions, automate processes, and explore opportunities to create business value through Python and generative AI tooling. A strong CS/finance background and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Computer Science.
• Master's degree in finance/IT is advantageous.
• Coding experience required.
• Exposure to generative AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code).
• Strong Python experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a tech role or CS background ideal.
• Engineering rigor and building robust tech solutions.
• Strong communication with trading, sales, IT and quantitative teams.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team of Strats directly with traders and salespeople.
• Develop ideas and productionize tools and analytics with senior Strats.
• Create efficiencies and automate processes for the trading business.
• Provide new opportunities and business benefits through tools and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and quantitative groups to deliver requirements.
• Build robust technology solutions for the trading business.
