Job summary

Lockton Re Analytics in London seeks a nearly or newly qualified actuary to support our Global Specialties broking division across Marine, Energy, Crisis Management, Financial Risk and Aviation. The role sits alongside broking teams, delivering high-value actuarial insight in a fast-paced environment.

You will join a global team of actuaries and specialists, build strong client and broker relationships, and contribute to pricing and risk management initiatives across multiple lines of business.

Qualifications

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent).
• Pricing experience within a reinsurance broker or carrier.
• Exposure to Global Specialties lines such as Marine & Energy, Crisis Management, Financial Risk, or Aviation.
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality actuarial advice to clients in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Advise on inward portfolio risks and reinsurance strategies to meet financial and risk objectives.
• Apply actuarial analysis to price, structure and evaluate reinsurance programmes.
• Work across multiple products and lines of business, adapting priorities as needed.
• Contribute to projects and tenders and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and reinsurers.
• Develop new analytical tools and approaches; mentor junior colleagues.
