Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: 27000 - 28500
Hours: 40 per week

We are seeking a Front of House Supervisor | Team Leader to join our team at a prestigious location in Cambridge.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced catering environment, either as a catering assistant or supervisor, and are looking to advance into a managerial role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all FOH staff attend on time and wear appropriate uniforms.
  • Maintain service standards among staff.
  • Manage the service rota and re-allocate duties as needed.
  • Complete daily cleaning and health & safety records.
  • Delegate tasks and oversee their completion.
  • Conduct shift handovers to the Duty team.
  • Ensure food served meets Thomas Franks standards.
  • Prepare service areas for daily operations.
  • Handle special functions' food, beverage, and equipment setup and cleanup.
  • Prepare basic food items following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Restock supplies and anticipate customer needs.
  • Communicate stock shortages and delays to the kitchen.
  • Operate cleaning equipment properly.
  • Perform cleaning and hygiene duties.
  • Serve customers according to company standards.
  • Maintain vending machines and equipment.
  • Manage rubbish and recycling appropriately.
  • Assist with additional hours for events and lettings as needed, with manager approval.
  • Be aware of all dietary requirements for pupils and staff.
  • Support the Catering Manager with event organization if required.
  • Attend daily menu briefings and communicate updates to the team.

Personal Skills & Attributes:

  • Teamwork, listening skills, initiative, personal presentation, hygiene, and behavior.
  • Food hygiene certification preferred.
  • Adaptability, reliability, honesty, and customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push moderately heavy items.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Experience in customer service or food prep preferred.
