The Store a new lifestyle luxury and boutique hotel set in the heart of Oxford. We sit in the building of the historic department store and Oxford institution, Boswells. Our 101-bedroom hotel will delight guests with a sense of curiosity and wonder, reflecting the rich heritage of the building’s former life.

are looking for a Hotel Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have
experience in working in hotels, anticipates guests needs and has a proactive
approach to their role and duties. The successful candidate must also be able
to work effectively with other members of the company.

The
role requires the successful candidate to keep calm under pressure, have excellent
communicative skills and to be able to cope with the physical demand of the
job.

Here’s what
the role is all about:

As
Porter at The Store, you will provide
exceptional guest service; you will be one of the first if not the first point
of contact for most of our guests – this is a big role to fill, and no day will
be the same. We are looking for someone who can action guests needs quickly,
interact in a professional manner and efficiently, pre-empting guests needs and
being there to assist the Front of House team. This will include tasks such as
the transportation of guest luggage and delivering guest amenities into the
rooms for the guest prior to their arrival. The
Porters presence will enable us to enhance the guest journey even more.

Previous experience in hotels,
the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong understanding of
customer preferences are essential.
