Job summary

English National Ballet Ltd in London is seeking an Operations and Hires Officer to help ensure smooth, safe, welcoming operations at the Mulryan Centre for Dance. You will support commercial hires, events and day-to-day building operations.

This role offers a professional service to colleagues, visitors and clients, with responsibility for coordination, risk assessments, and acting as keyholder and fire marshal during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in building operations or related area with customer-facing roles.
• Experience of operational planning, hire coordination or event logistics.
• Ability to understand working in performing arts or cultural sector for artistic productions.
• Professional and confident manner with high standard of customer care.
• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth and safe operation of all activity at the Mulryan Centre for Dance (MCD).
• Provide operational support for external hires and events at MCD (rehearsals, receptions, dinners, filming, meetings, conferences).
• Manage internal administration for hires (risk assessments, health and safety docs), coordinate resources, and communicate key information to teams.
• Provide a welcoming, informed first contact for colleagues, visitors and the public to ensure a positive experience at MCD.
• Act as a keyholder, first aider and fire marshal per ENB procedures during evacuations or incidents.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
