Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Retail Catering Assistant to support serving meals and beverages in hospital cafés and restaurants. The role requires front-of-house duties, basic IT and EPOS use, and strict adherence to food hygiene standards.

The position involves shifts from early morning to early evening, with weekend/bank holiday work as needed, and work across Castle Hill Hospital sites. NHS environment experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety
• Minimum 2 years experience in catering
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred
• Ability to use EPOS units and IT systems
• Flexible and team oriented

Responsibilities

• Assist in service of meals, confectionery and beverages
• Operate EPOS cash register and maintain checkout accuracy
• Work front-of-house in cafés and on-site restaurants
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations and Trust policies
