Ember Locke Kensington in London invites applications for a Front of House Assistant. You will welcome guests with warmth, handle check-ins/outs, and manage reservations, providing support across our restaurant, bar, breakfast and grab-and-go outlets.
You will share local knowledge, maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety, and collaborate across departments to ensure memorable stays for every guest.
As a Front of House Assistant, you'll be one of the first faces our guests see, creating a warm welcome and delivering great service throughout their stay. From check-in to check-out, you'll help ensure every guest enjoys a seamless experience while supporting the wider hotel operation. If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, then this is the place for you.
The stage is set for something different. We don't run conventional hotels; we build places with character and intent. What began as a small UK aparthotel portfolio has grown into a European collection recognised for design and atmosphere, and we're now entering a new chapter. As we redefine the brand and evolve our identity, we're focused on creating spaces that feel compelling, contemporary, and truly distinctive. Locke leads with bold expression; Cove by Locke refines that same spirit into a quieter, more streamlined approach. Guests come to rest, work, or escape. Comfort is a given: great beds, hot showers, and genuine service. But we aim to create moments that feel memorable and a little unexpected, bringing back the sense of mood hospitality often lost. This is our backdrop. We're on an exciting journey. Step on stage and play your part.
Welcome every guest with genuine warmth, personality, and professionalism. Deliver seamless check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest support. Share local knowledge and personalised recommendations to enhance every stay. Host our vibrant public spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere and resolving guest queries with confidence. Provide outstanding food and beverage service across our restaurant, bar, breakfast, and grab-and-go outlets. Keep our hotel looking its best, maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and safety. Support events, hotel activations, and work flexibly across departments to meet the needs of the business. Be a collaborative team player who brings energy, positivity, and a passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences. Naturally, this is not intended as an exhaustive list of duties. Other duties as may be reasonably required will form part of this job description.
Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences. Positive, energetic, and adaptable personality. Strong communication skills and confidence in guest interaction. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. Willingness to learn across multiple operational areas.
Previous hotel reception experience. Experience in food and beverage services is desirable. Experience using PMS and POS systems.
We're here to rethink what a modern lifestyle hotel can be. That takes pace, creativity, and people who enjoy working with purpose. If you're comfortable with change, motivated by ideas, and focused on crafting meaningful guest experiences, you'll do well here. We value individuals who can hold a vision, appreciate atmosphere, and want their work to have impact. Skills can be taught. Mindset can't. There's no single template for success here, just the right approach and willingness to grow.
