Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Thetford is seeking a Front Line Manager to lead the Packing Department, responsible for day or night shifts, 4on 4off, and ensuring safety, quality and production targets. You will drive team performance and continuous improvement.

You will manage a team, coach staff to meet KPIs, maintain GMP standards, and support operational changes while aligning with customer specifications and equipment changeovers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in food manufacturing environments.
• Ability to deputise for senior management and lead teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Line Manager to join our Packing Department in Thetford

• Days 0600 - 1800 OR Nights 1800 - 0600
• 4on 4off
• The rate of pay is: £17.24ph + 10% Night Shift Allowance between 10pm - 6am (£18.96)

The key tasks for the role will include

• Maintaining Health and Safety standards
• Maintaining GMP/Audit Readiness
• Responsibility for and leading a team of people
• Meeting product/customer specifications
• Asset care - supporting with equipment changeovers
• Competency training of key skills
• Working with Production Managers to implement operational improvements
• Coaching and mentoring the team to progress and deliver operational performance against agreed KPIs

Qualifications

People are our priority and our ideal candidate will demonstrate that they have effective people management skills. Additionally you will have:

• Extensive experience of working in a food manufacturing environment is preferable
• Demonstrable knowledge of the tasks set out in the main responsibilities.
• A strong focus on succession planning
• Experience of deputising for senior management and of working at all levels within a comparable setting
