Job summary

LA International is seeking a Front End Web Developer for a 6 month contract in Coventry. Hybrid work arrangement requires 2-3 days on-site weekly. Daily rate ranges from £400 to £475 via Umbrella. The role focuses on modern front-end development using React and AEM, with emphasis on accessibility and performance.

You will develop reusable components, ensure WCAG 2.0 AA compliance, and collaborate within an Agile delivery environment. Prior experience with AEM, HTL/Sightly, and Git is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Front End websites using modern front-end technologies and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)).
• Develop modular, reusable front-end components using React
• Implement and maintain web accessibility standards, ensuring WCAG 2.0 AA compliance.
• Develop modular, reusable front-end components using React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), SASS/LESS and Node.js.
• Experience of working with AEM components, Client Libraries (Clientlibs), HTL/Sightly templates, and authoring dialogs.
• Ensure solutions are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimised for performance.
• Implement and maintain web accessibility standards, ensuring WCAG 2.0 AA compliance.
• Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with OWASP security standards.
• Manage source code and version control using Git.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to technical standards, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with React and modern front-end development frameworks.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, JavaScript (ES6), and Node.js.
• Experienced in developing solutions within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Knowledge of AEM component development, HTL/Sightly, Clientlibs, and dialog configuration.
• Understanding of front-end build tools and source control practices (Git).
• Strong knowledge of web accessibility, responsive design, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure development practices.
