Job summary

Leapfrog Recruitment Consultants is seeking a technically curious developer to join our UK team. The role spans front-end development, SQL tuning, testing and IT support, with mentorship from senior developers and opportunities to contribute to system migrations and ongoing modernization projects.

You will work across internal front-end applications, write and optimise T-SQL queries, investigate issues, gather business requirements and document changes.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in software development with practical or academic experience in relational databases.
• Exposure to VB.NET, Git, PowerShell, Python, SSRS or UI/UX is advantageous and willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance internal front-end applications.
• Write, optimise and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures and functions.
• Investigate application and system issues and provide solutions or workarounds.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document code changes, technical specifications and user guidance.
• Create and execute test cases to support QA.
• Contribute to modernisation and migration of legacy systems.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to local business teams.
• Collaborate with senior developers across the global technology team.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and tools.
• Support and help develop a local trainee developer.
