Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Checkout Team Leader to drive our front-end service and lead a motivated team at the checkout. You will support colleagues to help customers complete purchases quickly and efficiently while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

You will use dashboards to monitor performance, coach staff, and ensure cash handling and policies are followed. The role offers progression opportunities and a supportive, busy store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-end service teams.
• Strong customer-focused approach.
• Ability to interpret dashboards and guide actions.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible presence across front end service operations and support colleagues to help customers complete purchases quickly and efficiently at checkouts.
• Lead and develop a team to deliver outstanding, friendly and helpful service.
• Coordinate day-to-day communication within front end departments (cash, kiosk, service desk, trolleys, car park).
• Act on data from dashboards to identify issues, develop plans and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all policies and cash-handling procedures are followed as specified by Morrisons.
• Support a culture of performance, recognition and continuous improvement.
