Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Checkout Team Leader to guide our Service teams and drive service performance for customers. You will lead the checkout front end, support colleagues, and ensure a friendly, efficient shopping experience.

You will be responsible for coaching, planning, and coordinating day-to-day operations while upholding policies, cash handling, and customer satisfaction. Join us to help shape a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Experience in developing and leading teams, coaching to build competence and confidence for high performance.
• Strong operational and technical knowledge of the Service department.
• Able to plan, organise and manage own and direct reports workload.
• Able to work to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible presence across all front end service operations, utilising headsets to support colleagues and help customers at checkouts.
• Create a team that delivers outstanding, friendly and helpful service to all customers.
• Develop an engaging department environment where colleagues place customers at the heart of everything they do.
• Build a supportive, performance-driven culture where achievements are recognised and rewarded.
• Use dashboards and reports to optimise front end experience and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and cash handling as specified by the company.
• Coordinate and communicate within front end departments, supporting colleagues with queries.
• Minimise waste and manage put-backs to be completed timely.
