Job summary

Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment represents a leading international law firm in London recruiting a Non-Contentious Construction Associate (2–5 PQE). The role offers exposure to high-value development and infrastructure projects with a broad client base including developers, investors, contractors and public sector bodies.

The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years' PQE in non-contentious construction, with strong experience of JCT contracts, development frameworks and consultant appointments.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years' PQE in non-contentious construction.
• Experience with JCT contracts is essential.
• Development frameworks and development agreements experience.
• Consultant appointments and collateral warranties experience.
• Advising developers, contractors, investors or public sector clients.
• Ability to handle matters with increasing responsibility within a team.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating JCT contracts and related documentation.
• Advising on development agreements and development frameworks.
• Preparing consultant appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements and bonds.
• Collaborating with real estate, planning, projects and banking teams on large transactions.
• Providing commercially focused advice throughout the construction lifecycle.
