Job summary
Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking aquatic ecologists to work on a range of freshwater projects across the UK and Ireland. You will contribute to planning, survey design, environmental assessment and long-term monitoring, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
We welcome candidates across grades from Consultant to Senior Principal. The role offers hybrid working, ongoing professional development and opportunities to influence technical capability and client relationships
Qualifications
- Experience undertaking freshwater ecological surveys and assessments.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to communicate scientific information clearly; strong written and verbal skills.
- Experience mentoring or leading junior staff (for senior roles).
Responsibilities
- Deliver freshwater ecological expertise across planning, survey design, environmental assessment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across ecology, hydrology, geomorphology and engineering.
- Contribute to project delivery, client relationships and technical guidance.
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance on complex environmental assessments.
