Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Product Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-paced fresh produce operation in the United Kingdom. You will monitor quality through the packing process, carry out checks, keep records and support investigations into quality issues to ensure products are packed, labelled and released to high standards.

You'll work closely with Production, Line Leaders and the QA team to drive continuous improvement, perform quality checks on raw materials and finished products,

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing or fresh produce QA role (soft fruit experience is highly desirable).
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work around production requirements.
• Someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
• Monitoring packing line standards and identifying quality or labelling issues.
• Ensuring product specifications and documentation are up to date and correctly followed.
• Supporting shelf‑life assessments, taste panels and product evaluations.
• Assisting with investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Working closely with Production, Line Leaders and the QA team to drive continuous improvement.
