Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance across a growing fresh produce operation. You will implement and monitor quality systems, maintain supplier approvals, and manage documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS).

The role requires strong IT skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail, with preference for experience in fresh produce. Monday–Friday, on-site in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in fresh produce is beneficial.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to address issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement food safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Accurately document inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Manage documentation and record-keeping as part of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Oversee the raw material and supplier approval system.
• Maintain and update raw material specifications, supplier certifications, and SAQs.
• Investigate major supplier raw material non-compliance and escalate serious concerns when necessary.
• Assist with customer audits and ensure a seamless audit process.
