Job summary

Truro and Penwith College is seeking a Foreign Language Assistant to support students studying French. You will work with the Modern Foreign Languages team to help learners improve their spoken French and build confidence in communication.

This fixed-term contract offers an exciting opportunity for a native-level French speaker or someone educated to degree level in French to contribute to examinations preparation and progression opportunities through one-to-one and small-group speaking sessions.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken and written French.
• Strong knowledge of French grammar and culture.
• Ability to encourage and motivate young people to achieve their potential.
• Experience of working with young people or within an educational environment is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students studying French.
• Help learners improve their spoken French and build confidence in communication.
• Prepare students for examinations and progression opportunities.
• Conduct one-to-one and small group speaking sessions.
