Job summary

ExxonMobil in London is seeking a Trading Market Risk Advisor to support Freight trading desks. You will monitor and manage risk across trading positions, provide daily VaR analysis, and advise on limit usage and hedging options.

The role requires a quantitative degree and experience in energy trading or risk management; you will lead risk analytics, collaborate with traders, and help strengthen governance and risk infrastructure to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required.
• Significant work experience in energy trading, financial or energy risk management.

Responsibilities

• Market risk insights via daily analysis and reporting of trading positions, exposures, limits.
• Oversee exposure risk, resolve trade discrepancies, provide timely alerts and hedging input.
• Utilize VaR, stress tests and scenario analysis to enhance transparency and decision-making.
• Understand full market risk lifecycle from trade capture to risk reporting and governance.
• Evaluate complex commodity transactions with Day 1 reserves and MTM related adjustments.
• Deliver strategic market risk insights and mentor junior analysts.
• Strengthen governance and risk infrastructure to align with regulatory standards.
