Job Description:

Gleesons has been exclusively partnered with a freight business looking for a Key Account Manager. The client seeks a multimodal freight professional eager to join a growing SME with opportunities for growth and development.

Duties include:

• Coordinate shipments ensuring smooth and timely delivery across freight modes.
• Conduct market research on freight industry trends, pricing, and services.
• Support negotiations with carriers and suppliers for competitive rates.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, customs paperwork, and compliance checks.
• Handle import/export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies for customs clearance and delivery.
• Communicate with customers, provide updates, resolve issues, and offer logistics solutions.
• Track shipments and address delays proactively.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams on pricing and operations.
• Use data analytics for reviewing shipping costs and contributing to pricing strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with ocean, air, or road freight handling.
• Experience with import and export operations.
• Familiarity with freight management systems like Cargowise, CDS, etc.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures.
