Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is seeking a Freight Forwarder (Aerospace / AOG) to join our Heathrow/Midlands team on a hybrid/remote basis. The role involves travel about once per week to Heathrow or the Midlands, with UK-wide base options.

The successful candidate will manage air freight bookings, specialise in AOG shipments, and handle both import/export activities while ensuring compliance and efficient operations across multiple INCOTerms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in air freight forwarding.
• Experience pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries.
• Experience in AOG or aerospace sector would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage air freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentation.
• Specialising in AOG, Air charter and OOG aerospace shipments from pricing to final mile facilitation.
• Focus on both import and export air freight shipments.
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills (AWB) and loading confirmation).
• Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements.
• Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move across borders (ISF, COO, clearance documents, dual-use export licensing, etc).
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, while monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency.
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service.

Job description

We are actively looking to engage air, sea and road freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as an Freight Forwarder (Aerospace / AOG) in Heathrow on a hybrid / remote basis. This role would require travel only 1x day per week to either the Midlands or Heathrow. The incumbent could be based across the United Kingdom.

My client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across various areas of the UK! You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, aerospace, retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, AOG, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.

Job Description

As an Freight Forwarder (Aerospace / AOG) you will report in to the Freight Branch Manager on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility across the new Heathrow and Midlands offices.

• Manage air freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Specialising in AOG, Air charter and OOG aerospace shipments from pricing to final mile facilitation
• Focused on both import and export air freight shipments.
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills (AWB) and loading confirmation)
• Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
• Raise additional customs documentation to ensure the freight can move from country to country (ISF,COO, clearance documentation, dual use export licencing, etc)
• Customer rate analysis on route guidance, whilst monitoring and secure allocations and operation efficiency
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements
• Providing export and import customs clearance services to our clients.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Freight Forwarder (Aerospace / AOG) will have the following skills and experience:

• 3+ year's experience in freight forwarding in air freight forwarding.
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air freight.
• Experience of AOG and or the aerospace sector would be advantageous.
• Desirable experience of customs compliance
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous
• Commutable (one day per week) to Heathrow or the Midlands on a hybrid / remote basis.
