Job summary

Brook Street Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our well-established logistics team based in Mallusk. The role offers the chance to manage end-to-end freight operations in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service focus.

The ideal candidate will have proven freight forwarding experience, be proactive in problem-solving, and capable of handling documentation, rates, and compliance across road, air, and sea shipments.

Qualifications

• Must have previous freight forwarding experience (100% essential).
• Familiarity with customs procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of customs and international shipping regulations.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments across road, air, and sea.
• Liaise with carriers, agents, and customers to ensure smooth, timely deliveries.
• Prepare and manage all shipping documentation (bills of lading, invoices, etc.).
• Provide quotations and negotiate rates with suppliers and clients.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve any issues during transit.
• Ensure full compliance with international trade and customs regulations.
