Job Title: Freight Forwarder at Virtual Bridges

Brook Street Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our Belfast client’s team.

Responsibilities

1. Arrange FCL export shipments with carriers to worldwide destinations.
2. Coordinate collections with Transport/Liner Shipping Companies.
3. Handle order traces, issue Bills of Lading, Invoices, and send pre-alerts to overseas offices.
4. Manage end-to-end import and export consignments, communicating with clients, agents, and partners.
5. Ensure completion of consignments from collection to delivery.
6. Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Candidate Criteria

• 2-3 years’ experience in FCL Ocean Freight, with strong import/export skills.
• In-depth customs knowledge and ability to complete Export Customs Entries.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Shipping Lines online booking systems, Co-Loaders, and Transport Companies.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CNS operating system is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.
• Independent worker capable of completing assignments within given instructions.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.
