Job description

Brook Street is currently recruiting for an experienced Exports Freight Forwarder to join their growing company.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company that has been operating for over 20 years and is experiencing rapid expansion.

You will be expected to deliver a first-class level of customer service at all times, developing and maintaining good relationships with clients to ensure smooth operations.

Duties / Responsibilities

1. Work closely with sea freight partners to ensure goods are delivered within agreed timescales.
2. Handle sales and business development activities.
3. Have fluency with shipping terminology.
4. Communicate with customers regarding delivery estimates.
5. Manage the export of goods.
6. Book sea freight shipments.
7. Oversee shipments from start to finish.
8. Keep customers informed about the status of their shipments.
9. Handle documentation to ensure goods can be received into the destination country.
10. Manage all relevant documentation related to export procedures.

Criteria

• Previous experience in a sea freight role is essential, with a good knowledge of export procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience.
