Job summary

Ardencote Manor in the UK is seeking talented Freelance Wellness Instructors to join our spa and leisure offering. We welcome Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Breathwork and Sound Healing specialists to deliver engaging, high-quality sessions for guests, residents, members and day visitors.

You may specialise in one discipline or be qualified across several. Applicants must hold a recognised qualification, have session experience, current public liability insurance, and the right to work in

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised qualification relevant to your discipline(s)
• Experience delivering group or individual sessions
• Current public liability and professional indemnity insurance
• CPD or membership/licence relevant to your discipline
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to work independently within a team

Responsibilities

• Deliver welcoming, professional sessions for spa guests, residents, members and day visitors
• Plan and deliver safe, high-quality classes within your discipline
• Create a calm, inclusive environment and adapt sessions for different abilities
• Provide demonstrations, guidance and alternatives as needed
• Maintain studio setup, equipment and safety procedures
• Ensure timely, professional delivery of classes
• Collaborate with Spa, Leisure and Wellness teams

We’re looking for talented, engaging and dependable Freelance Wellness Instructors to join our growing wellness offering at Ardencote Manor

Whether your specialism is Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Breathwork or Sound Healing, we’d love to hear from instructors who are passionate about creating memorable wellness experiences in a beautiful spa and leisure setting

What you’ll be doing

You’ll deliver welcoming, professional and engaging sessions for our spa guests, hotel residents, members and day visitors

Your role will include:

• Planning and delivering safe, high-quality classes within your qualified discipline
• Creating a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Adapting sessions for beginners, mixed abilities and individual needs
• Providing clear demonstrations, guidance and appropriate alternatives
• Carrying out relevant pre-class health and injury checks
• Preparing your studio, equipment or reformer area before sessions
• Ensuring equipment is used safely, cleaned and returned correctly
• Delivering classes promptly and professionally
• Working closely with our Spa, Leisure and Wellness teams
• Following Ardencote Manor’s health & safety and operating procedures

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to hold a recognised qualification relevant to the discipline(s) you teach, such as Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Breathwork or Sound Healing

You’ll also need:

• Previous experience delivering group or individual sessions
• A good understanding of safe practice, contraindications and appropriate modifications
• Current public liability and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to your discipline
• Any relevant professional membership, licence or CPD required for your specialism
• The right to work in the UK
• A warm, professional and guest-focused approach
• The confidence to work independently while being part of a wider team

For Reformer Pilates instructors, you must hold an appropriate Reformer Pilates teaching qualification and be confident in the safe setup, adjustment and use of reformer equipment

The freelance arrangement

This is a freelance, self-employed opportunity paying £30 per hour

Hours are flexible and will be based around our wellness timetable, guest demand and your availability, with opportunities across weekdays, evenings and weekends

As a freelance instructor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining your own qualifications, insurance, tax and National Insurance arrangements and providing invoices in line with our agreed payment process.

Interviews will be held between October 2026 - December 2026.
