Job summary

Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) invites freelance interpreters to join our Northampton panel for on-site assignments. You will provide face-to-face interpretation in healthcare, local authorities and community settings, with flexible hours based on client demand.

Fluency in English and Tigrinya is required, and a right to work in the UK is essential. Formal interpreting qualifications are welcome but not required, and DBS clearance is preferred or may be arranged.

Are you fluent in English and Tigrinya] and interested in using your language skills to help people communicate?

Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) is looking for reliable and confident bilingual individuals to provide face-to-face interpreting services in Northampton and surrounding areas.

Whether you are an experienced interpreter or new to the profession, we welcome your application.

No formal interpreting qualification or previous interpreting experience is required.

As a Freelance Interpreter, you will help people overcome language barriers by facilitating clear, accurate and impartial communication.

You will attend face-to-face appointments in a variety of professional and community settings, including healthcare, local authorities and other public services.

This is a flexible, self-employed opportunity, allowing you to accept assignments based on your availability.

Please note that assignments are offered according to client demand, and a minimum volume of work cannot be guaranteed.

• Communicate respectfully with everyone involved
• Be punctual, reliable and prepared for assignments
• Remain calm and professional, including during sensitive situations
• Maintain a high standard of professional conduct

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A formal interpreting qualification is not required.

We welcome both qualified and non-qualified applicants. Previous interpreting experience or a relevant qualification is an advantage, but it is not essential.
