Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) is seeking a freelance interpreter to provide face-to-face Tigrinya interpretation in Glasgow and surrounding areas. You will work on flexible assignments as a self-employed professional.

No formal interpreting qualification is required; prior experience is welcome but not essential. This role offers flexible freelance opportunities and the chance to join a growing UK network of interpreters.

Are you fluent in English and Tigrinya and interested in using your language skills to help people communicate?

Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) is looking for reliable and confident bilingual individuals to provide face-to-face interpreting services in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Whether you are an experienced interpreter or new to the profession, we welcome your application.

No formal interpreting qualification or previous interpreting experience is required.

As a Freelance Interpreter, you will help people overcome language barriers by facilitating clear, accurate and impartial communication.

You will attend face-to-face appointments in a variety of professional and community settings, including healthcare, local authorities and other public services.

This is a flexible, self-employed opportunity, allowing you to accept assignments based on your availability.

Please note that assignments are offered according to client demand, and a minimum volume of work cannot be guaranteed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A formal interpreting qualification is not required.

We welcome both qualified and non-qualified applicants. Previous interpreting experience or a relevant qualification is an advantage, but it is not essential.

• Can remain calm and focused in different situations
• Are willing and able to travel locally for assignments
• Have the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one – a valid DBS is mandatory and must be in place before undertaking any assignments with PLS.
