Job summary

O is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to cover a holiday period at a new-build residential development near Yeovil, Somerset. The role runs Friday 23rd October to Wednesday 28th October 2026, with a day rate of £270 CIS.

You will keep the site running smoothly, coordinating teams, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality while the permanent Site Manager is away. You must have proven site management on residential builds plus SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience on new-build residential developments.
• Strong health and safety awareness and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently over a short-term assignment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily running of the residential site during holiday cover.
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Maintaining build quality and monitoring progress against programme.
• Managing sites records, deliveries and resources.
• Handover to permanent Site Manager at end of assignment.
