Job summary

Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a Nationwide Earthworks and Civils Contractor in West Sussex. Rate £400 per day, 40 hours a week, 3 months' duration, immediate start.

Responsibilities include using Trimble GPS, levelling, CAD design and interpreting drawings; you must have your own PPE and tools, CSCS card and UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card and Full UK Driving Licence.
• Up to 5 years' experience as a Setting Out Engineer (Earthworks).
• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Own PPE, equipment and tools.
• Reading Construction Drawings.

Responsibilities

• Use Trimble GPS, levelling and CAD design to model specifications.
• Interpret drawings and conduct precise measurements.
• Prepare survey reports from field measurements.
