Job summary

A civil engineering contractor in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a contract lasting 6 to 15 months. The ideal candidate will manage NEC contracts and provide commercial support across various projects in water, marine, and power sectors. This role offers a competitive day rate of £400–£450 and flexible working arrangements while contributing to major infrastructure works in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong experience working under NEC contracts.
• Exposure to water, marine, power or enabling works (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support commercial delivery from mobilisation to completion.
• Manage and administer NEC contracts.
• Prepare interim valuations and applications for payment.
