Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Editorial Assessment Associate on a freelance basis. You will review qualification materials for spelling, grammar and formatting, ensuring consistency with Pearson’s house style. The role focuses on clear, reader-friendly materials used by learners and educators worldwide.

We value accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Prior experience with educational content and MS Word is beneficial for this position.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of English: grammar, spelling, punctuation.
• Strong proofreading and editing with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with various publications and following editorial standards.
• Familiar with BSI proofreading marks.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting and clarity.
• Check alignment with agreed editorial requirements and house style.
• Identify errors and flag issues requiring further review.
• Support production of high-quality educational materials used by learners and educators.
