About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager or Site Agent to join our team for a major £15M civil engineering project in Cobham, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme, working with a reputable civil engineering contractor.

Project Scope

• Earthworks
• Drainage
• Highways Construction
• Section 278 Works

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare and review RAMS, progress reports, and site documentation.
• Drive quality standards and promote a strong health & safety culture on site.
• Ensure all Section 278 and highways works are delivered to specification.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Agent on large-scale civil engineering projects (ideally £10M+).
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, highways, and Section 278 works.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certifications (desirable).
• Ability to work self-employed under CIS.
• Full UK driving licence.
