Job summary

Plunge Creations Limited in Brighton is seeking an experienced freelance Project Manager to coordinate and deliver prop and costume fabrication projects. You will lead planning, coordination and successful delivery, working closely with Directors, production teams, designers, clients and freelancers to meet deadlines, budgets and high quality standards.

This ad-hoc role offers ongoing freelance opportunities during workload spikes, with potential for a longer-term relationship for the right

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Creative Producer / Project Manager.
• Proficiency using Excel and Word (or similar).
• Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quotes and assembling tenders for projects.
• Creating mood boards and assisting with design development.
• Liaising with Directors, Workshop Leads and Designers to fully understand the making requirements of each project.
• Ensuring project aims, deadlines, and budgets are met, while maintaining quality production standards.
• Managing budgets, monitoring progress, and overseeing staffing for assigned projects.
• Handling project-related accounting, costing, and billing tasks.
• Assisting with installations and de-rigs as required, subject to agreement on working hours.
• Producing illustrative drawings for clients and for workshop reference.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
• Organising freelance and project crews, ensuring work meets Plunge Creations’ standards.
• Preparing risk assessments and method statements for relevant projects and installations.
• Attending production and other relevant meetings as needed.
• Collaborating with the management team to support efficient workshop operations.
• Assisting in the supervision of freelance staff and work placement students.
• Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by Company Directors.
• Adhering to all health and safety policies and practices.
• Participating in relevant training and development.
• Reporting any workshop safety concerns to the Management Team.
