Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Freelance Design Manager to support major infrastructure projects. You will oversee design assurance and coordinate with external design partners to keep work on time, within budget and to quality standards.

You will liaise with clients, ensure CDM compliance, and promote a right-first-time approach while maintaining design quality processes across design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering complex projects to time, cost and quality targets.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Optimising engineering assurance processes for designs developed by external design partners.
• Managing design changes and acting as the main point of contact for technical queries throughout the design and construction phases.
• Working closely with the client to understand their requirements and ensure these are successfully delivered.
• Maintaining compliance with design quality procedures and promoting a right-first-time approach.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and proactively managing design-related health and safety risks.
