Job summary

Afloat Theatre is seeking a proactive freelance Business Development Officer to grow In Unison. You will build relationships with corporates, pitch the offering and turn interest into paid bookings, working to create a sustainable income stream for the CIC.

You’ll manage your own workload, use your corporate networks, and aim for about two bookings per month to reduce reliance on grants while delivering social impact through creative experiences.

Qualifications

• Proactive and commercially minded freelance Business Development Officer.
• Build relationships with businesses and decision-makers.
• Network and generate new leads.
• Sell and secure contracts for In Unison.
• Communicate the value of creative, wellbeing or team-based offers.
• Work independently and manage your own workload.
• Understand how organisations can use creative experiences to support their teams.
• Ideally have an existing corporate network and experience with agencies, businesses or social enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Turn In Unison into a sustainable income stream by securing corporate bookings.
• Develop relationships from first contact to delivery and beyond.
• Aim for around two bookings per month to reduce grant reliance.
• Present and pitch In Unison offerings to decision-makers.
