Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Fraud Strategy Director to lead enterprise-wide fraud-stategy initiatives, spanning prevention, detection, investigation and recovery. You will partner with product, operations and technology to align fraud governance with business goals and swiftly respond to emerging threats.

You will develop analytical models, implement detection rules, and produce executive metrics to inform senior leadership with clear risk-based recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; master’s preferred.
• Ten years in financial services with knowledge of payment systems and cross-functional leadership.
• Expert experience in fraud strategy and rule writing.
• Deep knowledge of reporting and query tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams spanning product, fraud operations and technology.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into hands-on deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the senior leader for fraud strategy across the full lifecycle: prevention, detection, investigation and recovery.
• Collaborates with product, fraud ops, tech and others to align fraud strategy with business needs.
• Assesses trends in payments/card fraud and provides real-time risk mitigation recommendations.
• Defines and creates analytical models to assess fraud across systems.
• Serves as the bank's fraud knowledge expert and contributes to strategy development.
• Oversees analysis to identify fraud patterns and prevent misuse across payment types (ATM, cards, wires, new methods).
• Creates, tests and implements fraud-detection rules balancing prevention with customer experience.
• Analyzes loss data to recommend prevention strategies; evaluates cases to identify trends.
• Participates in fraud policy development and risk management across business units.
• Develops and produces executive metrics and reports for senior management and risk teams.
• Delivers hands-on analysis, reporting and implementation of fraud controls.
