Description
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
- reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards
- contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- understanding daily/weekly targets
- ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues, e.g., eventing, Omni and digital channels
- keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
- effectively using social media to leverage opportunities to drive the business and enhance the Brand image
- delivering the Brand Strategy and an effective local plan
- planning and implementing local marketing and events initiatives aligned with Retailer activity
- delivering excellence in service, continually improving service levels, and fostering a surprise and delight culture
- being an ambassador for the Brand, ensuring Brand values are represented and brought to life
- managing refunds and complaints according to Company guidelines, consulting with the Area Manager when appropriate
- using digital tools to keep knowledge up to date
- delivering a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal customer base
- developing product knowledge to ensure an industry-leading experience and product meeting consumer needs
- planning to ensure excellent standards in product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing
- reviewing retail standards daily to ensure they are maintained
- completing deliveries, stock movements, and related administration within agreed timeframes
- actioning auditable processes and administration per Company guidelines, taking corrective action when needed
- fulfilling all information requests accurately and on time
- minimising stock loss by following all security policies and procedures
- creating and maintaining a safe environment for consumers, adhering to all policies and procedures
- ensuring health & safety responsibilities and operational activities achieve at least an 'Acceptable' grade during audits
Commerciality
- Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate actions
- Maximising sales performance using all available reports for decision-making
- Planning and delivering visual merchandising layouts according to guidelines and timelines
- Identifying stock issues and taking corrective actions, informing the Area Manager when necessary
- Managing promotions and discounts in line with Company guidelines
- Identifying trends and suggesting improvements to product performance

- Experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing environment

- Commercial understanding and industry awareness
