Menlo Park Recruitment is seeking a General Practitioner for a permanent frailty role in mid Cornwall. The post focuses on continuity of care for housebound elderly patients within a multidisciplinary team, with no duty doctor rota and sessions that fit around school hours.
Working 4–6 sessions weekly (Mon/Wed core), typically 9am–2pm, with a 6 weeks leave entitlement and NHS Pension. Salary per session ranges from £11,595 to £13,668, with indemnity paid by the practice.
This is a permanent frailty GP role built around continuity of care: a defined group of older, housebound and care home patients, looked after by one team that gets to know them well. There is no duty doctor rota, sessions can fit around school hours, and you do not need a formal special interest in frailty, just a real interest in caring for older people. Recurrent funding means this is a long-term post, not a fixed-term pilot.
The role covers a mix of coastal, market town and rural communities across mid Cornwall, with south coast harbours and open moorland close by. St Austell is around 20 minutes away by car, Truro around 35 minutes and Plymouth around 50 minutes.
