Job summary

Manpower are seeking an interim Sensory Specialist for a global FMCG client, Unilever, based at their R&D facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral. This full-time temporary role runs for 6 months, 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Salary ranges from £34,000 to £45,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

You will develop and deliver sensory evaluation capabilities, manage sensory studies and panel testing, and translate results into product insights for teams across the business.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in sensory science, sensory evaluation, panel management, consumer research or human panel studies.
• Master's or related degree in a relevant scientific subject with industry exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in a subject with practical research experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop sensory capability and apply approaches to understand product and fragrance experiences.
• Support high-performing panels and introduce relevant methodologies.
• Plan and coordinate sensory studies and testing schedules.
• Manage tasks, participants and study logistics; ensure data quality.
