Location: Remote-first (London availability preferred)

Start Date: July 2025

Contract: Freelance, 1–2 days/week initially, growing to 3–4 days/week in 2026

Rate: £350–£500/day (commensurate with experience)

The Role

We’re seeking a Fractional Managing Director to lead KIT Studios through a pivotal phase of growth and transformation. This leadership role requires a combination of sharp commercial acumen and creative sensibility, thriving in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.

You will refine our strategic direction, oversee operations, nurture team development, and cultivate client relationships, bringing a culturally attuned perspective to our growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic & Agency Leadership: Shape and drive the agency’s vision, strategy, and brand positioning. Act as a sparring partner to the founder, providing insights into scaling and innovation.
• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensure smooth workflows, and optimize systems for growth.
• Team & Culture Management: Mentor and guide creative and strategic teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Client Oversight & Brand Stewardship: Maintain key client relationships, ensure value delivery, and lead strategic reviews.
• Growth & New Business: Identify new opportunities, support proposals, and lead pitches.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, financial health, and collaborate on forecasting.
• Cultural & Social-First Thinking: Bring a modern perspective on content, trends, and communication, shaping agency presence across PR, socials, and branding.

You’ll Bring

• 3–5+ years’ leadership experience in a creative agency, studio, or startup, preferably in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or cultural sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the hairdressing industry and its cultural/media influence.
• Proven leadership in teams, clients, and strategy with clarity and creativity.
• Empathetic leadership and excellent management skills.
• Deep understanding of PR, social media, and content ecosystems.
• Financial fluency, capable of reading P&L statements and making informed decisions.
• An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to leadership.
